The therapeutic virtues of ginger have been known for over 2000 years in China. It was imported to antique Egypt were it served as a momification agent. This oil is issued from a plantation in Ivory Coast where it is cultivated without insecticides or pesticides. the rhizomes are picked 9 to 10 months after the plant has blossomed, they are kept in water for 12 hours and distilled on site. The oil retains its fresh scent with a melange of green lime and spice recalling the odor of freshly cut roots.
