Zoom on gamma-linoleic acid: gamma-linoleic acid is synthesized by the body from linoleic acid. It is essential to the immune system for the defense against infections and allergies. It plays an important role in hydration and protection. Unfortunately this synthesis is often weak and supplements are needed. Very few oils contain such a high level of gamma-linoleic acid, this oil is one of them.
